Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic form of yoga that links postures in a continuous, moving stream of fluid energy that rhythmically ebbs and flows from the quiet of child’s pose to apex postures like handstand.
The “Krama,” or sequence of the postures is synchronised with the breath, each posture linked to the next sequentially and intelligently. When taught properly, the body, the mind and the breath are yoked into one and the practitioner experiences the real joy of yoga practice.
Vinyasa Flow is one of the most popular styles of yoga a studio offers, and yet rarely do you find beginner’s courses that address its fundamentals. Genny Wilkinson-Priest, an experienced Vinyasa Flow teacher, will address not just the fundamentals of the breath and alignment, but also discuss the history of this practice that has its roots in the teachings of legendary yogi Sr. T. Krishnamacharya.
A six week beginner's course beginning June 11, Thursday nights from 8 pm - 9:15 pm. Book here
